The Behavior Diagnostic Platform (“Platform”) provides general information about health and related subjects. The Platform is not intended to diagnose disease, prescribe treatment, or perform any other tasks that constitute or may constitute the practice of medicine or of other professional or academic disciplines. The information and other content provided in the Platform, or in any linked or referenced materials, are not intended and should not be construed as medical or clinical advice, nor is the information a substitute for professional medical expertise or treatment. Information provided by the Platform is not intended to be a substitute for competent professional advice and professional judgment of licensed providers undertaking whatever activities they deem necessary, in their professional judgment, for the proper care and treatment of an individual.
The Platform is designed solely for use by professional medical and /or clinical personnel who meet the requirements of an Authorized User. An Authorized User meets the following criteria:
- Has in-depth knowledge and experience in facilitation of wellness and lifestyle behavior change (e.g active listening, motivational interviewing); and
- Has, for each module disease state included in the Platform:
- Basic knowledge of the symptomology, pathophysiology, and natural history for that disease state, including likely complications and co-morbidities; or
- Basic knowledge of medical treatment for that disease state, including basic understanding of medication management; or
- In-depth knowledge of and experience in lifestyle management of that disease state.
An Authorized User can also be a person who works under the direct supervision of a person meeting the foregoing criteria. In this context, “direct supervision” means the person being supervised is sufficiently trained and supported by resources necessary to use the Platform, is overseen by the supervisor and who has immediately available the assistance and direction of the supervisor in all matters.
Authorized Users must use their best clinical/professional judgment when acting upon or dispensing information provided through the Platform. Authorized Users through use of the Platform understand and agree that the Authorized User and/or other medical/clinical professionals with whom they work are solely responsible for (i) any decisions regarding incorporating the Platform or information provided by the Platform in their diagnostic, clinical and other processes; (ii) following best practices in the use of the platform; and (iii) compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations as it relates to the use of the Platform, including those related to privacy of mental health and substance abuse records.
